    Helping us out are the dynamic duo, Andrew Sodt and Lynval Golding of Superfine productions. Andrew is the maestro of Lushy and formerly of Tiny Hat Orchestra, and Lynval is an original member of The Specials-Yes! those Specials, the 80's two-tone ska sensations from the U.K,

    Buttersprites/Baby/Cantona, Graceland
    Seattle's answer to Hello Kitty, Buttersprites, wowed the opening nite Ladyfest crowd last month not only with their sprightly power-punk tunes, but also with their dazzling sense of aesthetics. Simply stated, you'll get your dimes worth out of this bill just by staring at the Buttersprites. With their eclectic and super-styley outfits – textured and soft, alluring and hip, and of course, coordinating – this all-female, mostly Asian quintet blend a keen sense of design, outrageous song themes {from Mochi to dog food}, and nimble pop melodies. I featured their debut EP in last month's Demo-a-Go-Go, so read on if you want to know more. Cantona — another local five-piece — will open the night. I haven't heard 'em live yet, but the tracks on their website sound promising: bright guitars, likeable melodies, and vivid vocals. I can't help you with Baby though. Do you know about them? Shoot me an email and tell me what you think. {igDana}
